Available on sat-sun only!
Bike riding through local communities - Bangkok's canals – floating Market –
Fruit Orchards - Magical garden bike trail – Long-tailed boat ride
Visions of early period of Bangkok, the bond between people and water was inseparable. Water had to be part in many activities in everyday life,, especially commuting since there were so many canals and rivers. This made people prefer to settle down along the river banks or along the canals, because water based traveling was much more convenient than by land.
When the first motor vehicle was introduced to Bangkok about a hundred years ago, the first road was then built, then another road, another road and another road. Canals were filled to build roads, some became housing projects. Bangkok has had less and less canal and small water way ever since. Boats were substituted by cars and trucks. The bond between people and water become less and less. This makes Bangkok what you see today.
But still, there is a particular area, that the bond between water and people is still intact. We will guide you there and you will be amazed and start to ask yourself - “Are we still in Bangkok?”
Our bicycle will be like a time machine taking you back to the time when Bangkok people’s lives and water were bound together. Cycling through old communities, observe the local culture and way of life surrounded by lush green orchard. Lunch break will be at Taling Chan floating market, one of the most renowned floating markets in Bangkok. After lunch we will feel the cool breeze along canal and river in the long-tailed boat and view another perspective of Bangkok from the middle of the river before making the last cycling and end our trip at the starting point.
